An Elegant Wedding at the National Arts Centre

LAUREN + DAVID

Lauren and David met in London, Ontario, where Lauren was completing medical school and David was finishing his masters. For two years they dated long distance while Lauren finished school and David worked in Toronto. After that it was off to Calgary for Lauren's residency, and as much as David is a big city boy, he did not hesitate one bit to move with her.

After getting engaged by Lake Louise in February 2020, they started looking at venues for their wedding. The O’Born room at the NAC had the modern and elegant feel they were looking for. What they could not predict was the uncertainty that would come with planning a wedding during the COVID pandemic.

Working with Union Eleven exceeded their expectations, especially with how accommodating and professional they were with changes to dates and details. On the big day, they were nervous to be the center of attention but Margo put them at ease despite never having met in person before. Due to restrictions, Lauren and David had to replace after-dinner dancing with speeches from loved ones and newlywed games, but the day was still everything they dreamed of and more, and they could not be happier with the memories that Margo helped them capture on their special day.
