A Stunning Saint Elias Wedding in Ottawa - Photography and Videography

NATASHA + ANDREW

Here are some words from Natasha:

We met in Andrew’s home state while attending dental school at West Virginia University. On my first day in student clinic, I asked Andrew if he needed an assistant and he gladly accepted with a warm smile. We were inseparable since. We couldn’t be more opposite. I’m a city girl from Ottawa and he’s a small town boy from Bluefield, West Virginia and yet love came so organically. After 4 years together, Andrew proposed surrounded by family and friends while visiting New York City in November of 2019.

We dreamt of a destination wedding in Santorini but when the pandemic hit, obviously plans had to changes. Planning a wedding in a time where nothing was certain, and plans could change in an instant was less than ideal. But one thing we did know is we wanted Union Eleven to be part of our wedding day so once we set a date, they were our next call.

We engaged Union Eleven for both photography and videography and couldn’t be happier with the way everything turned out. Truthfully, we were hesitant to have a wedding video but looking back now it’s one of the best decisions we made. From the picturesque ceremony at St. Elias Cathedral to the special memories that were captured with our loved ones at our poolside reception, it was a day that they will both hold close to our hearts. The best advice we can offer to others planning a wedding is to keep the guest list intimate and focus your energy on being present in the day rather than focussing on the plans are going perfectly. Take the time to appreciate all that is surrounding you and celebrate with the one you love.
