Stonefields Estate Wedding Photos!

NICOLE + BRETT

We met four and half years ago at an outdoors school, paddling white water by day and camping by night. Our love of adventure put our relationship on a fast track. A few years go by and we are back in Thunder Bay, where Nicole went to school. Looking at The Sleeping Giant over Lake Superior, one of her favourite views on earth.  So with that in mind we hiked Mt. McKay and at the top - taking in this amazing view - I got down on one knee and proposed.

Our love of the outdoors was the one thing we wanted to tie into our wedding. We knew we wanted it outside and that paddling had to be a part of it. We did this by hanging half a canoe above our head table (big shout out to Stonefields for making that happen) and having paddles through out the reception hall.

Everything about our day was perfect - and thankfully we have every part of it captured in photos by Union Eleven.  There were so many amazing moments throughout the day that choosing one is hard. Seeing each other for the first time as Nicole walked down the isle, dancing with our friends, and stepping away from the hustle and bustle of it all for some misty moonlight shots, were some of our highlights.  We chose Union Eleven because of the professional atmosphere and effort they put into our consultation. We had met with a few other photographers, but their attention to detail and friendly demeanour put them above the rest. Our photographer, Andrew and his assistant, made sure that they caught every moment from multiple angles. They were very relaxed, but diligent, and managed to be everywhere throughout the day.  The photos taken show the magic of the day and the genuine nature of every moment captured.
